The Brantford Red Sox are one step closer to their goal of an Intercounty Baseball League championship three-peat.

Following a 5-3 win over the Hamilton Thunderbirds at Arnold Anderson Stadium Friday, the Red Sox claimed their first best-of-seven playoff series in a 4-0 sweep.
